2018 is coming to an end.
For my best nine on Instagram, we got: a floating cat, UFOs, bubbles, and even a dragon.
It's been a crazy year with personal challenges. It also brought wonderful creative opportunities and I'm grateful for it.

The 5th Annual Coaster Show at La Luz De Jesus Gallery opened last week.
I'm excited and grateful to be part of this iconic event surrounded by so many amazing artists. I had a great time creating my pieces, they are two among a sea of over 1,000.
If you are in Los Angeles, try to visit, it's quite a unique show.
The exhibition runs Sept 1 – Oct 1. It can also be viewed online.

Our Strange Dreams Surreal Artist Collective is having our first group show: NIGHTMARES at Thumbprint Gallery in La Jolla, California.
Each artist has created their own interpretation of the meaning of a nightmare. I'm proud to be part of this group of talented artists and we couldn't be more thrilled to be showing together for the first time.
The opening reception is Saturday, April 8th. The exhibition runs until May 7th.

Last month, I was featured in Yay! LA Magazine's Artist Spotlight.
I've enjoyed working with this wonderful publication for almost a year when I participated in the HMAD (Horror Movie a Day) series; and most recently, in the LED (Legends Every Day) series.
Yay! LA Magazine is a wealth of information for anything that's trendy in the world of Art, Culture, Film/TV, Comedy, Literature, and even Podcasts. Its editor-in-chief and founder, Daniel Barron, has done an amazing job supporting and promoting artists from every discipline.

I can't believe it's been six months since I last posted.
So many things have happened. New creative projects and exhibitions have kept me busy, and I just recently came back from a trip to Spain with the family.
Museum and galleries are the first things I check when I arrive at a new city, and Spain has no shortage of them. The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao was fantastic. I will post more about it on a future post.
This first half of the year I was given the opportunity to show for the first time in New York, L.A, and most recently in Denver, Colorado, at Sally Centigrade Gallery's "Before This All Fades Away" group exhibition. The show opens July 28th.
I collaborated once again with Yay! LA Magazine's multimedia project: "Legends Every Day". I'm doing my interpretation of Hayao Miyazaki's motion picture "Spirited Away" and Luc Besson's sci-fi adventure "The Fifth Element".
The event is ongoing, with new artworks being continuously revealed on social media. My "Fifth Element" piece will see the light at the end of this month. Meanwhile, here are some studio images of "Sweet Dreams Chihiro". Hope you enjoy them.

In November, Arch Enemy Arts gallery opened the fourth installment of their annual small works show: Small Wonders.
I was honored to be one of the 40+ artists chosen from among almost 300 submissions. The exhibition featured more than 75 original works from both established and from emerging talent from across the globe.
"Stories from Home" and "Cloudy Day" traveled to lovely Philadelphia for the event.
